this came across from Freecycle today http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freecycleseattle/message/118582.
I'm giving away 3 bookcases. I'll describe them as completely as
possible, from smallest to largest, since I don't have my digital
camera on hand to take pictures:
1. 45"H X 23"W X 11"D (4 non-adjustable shelves, 19"W X 8"D): This
one is best described as rustic and rough-hewn (I think it was made
by an individual, rather than a factory, but don't know). It's
unfinished but dark stained solid wood, and you can see the knots and
all. In fact, it has one knothole. My favorite of the 3.
2. 36"H X 28.5"W X 12"D (2 fully adjustable shelves): Pine veneer.
One shelf is slightly tippy, because one of the 4 shelf holders is
missing. This could be solved with a fat screw or plug. However, it
was never a problem for me--once the shelf is full of books or games
or whatever, it balances fine. That shelf is not for fragile stuff
though. The other shelf is fine.
3. 68.5"H X 27"W X 10"D (5 shelves, each partly adjustable): This is
from Dania. It's white, with beachwood veneer trim.
Take one or take them all.
I don't know about you, but a picture says a 1000 words. Without a picture of what these bookcases look like I can't determine if it worth my time to drive across town. Why don't more people post pictures?
